Packaging Workshop
Prerequisites for participants:
Participants taking this training should be experienced in planning or operating midsize to enterprise installations of Microsoft Windows Terminal Services and Citrix Presentation Server farms. Participants should be familiar with the following products, but it is not necessary to be a specialist in each of them:
Microsoft Windows Terminal Services, Citrix Presentation Server.
If you need additional training on the involved 3rd party products before starting with our Packaging workshop, visionapp can provide individual training for you.
Furthermore unless you have a good working knowledge of vADM/Server Management, it is recommended to take the vADM/Server Management course prior to the packaging workshop.

Training objectives:
methods and tools. Packaging methods using authoring (Wise Installation Studio / Packaging Studio script language), Snapshot and MSI packaging/repackaging will be examined in detail and reinforced with examples.
Important issues that will be addressed include terminal server compatibility adaptations and optimizations, automatic applications publication and flexible parameterization.
You will gain an understanding of each individual package and how they work to optimal effect with the help of vADM. You will provided with an overview of packaging of various third party-programs and learn how to adapt the overall system to fit various scenarios and solutions, enabling you analyze and solve problems that may emerge.
At the end of the workshop, you will be equipped to produce your own software packages and to deploy them in an environment using vADM.
